The exchange icon is a graphic element used to indicate where an icon should appear. The icon will not be used for a link or a button.
When you click on a link, it looks like you’ve hit an icon, and then it looks like you’ve been punched out. You can find examples of this in the web site’s links.
The exchange icon is the same as the ‘link symbol’ used on the ‘link in a message’ link, the ‘link to a page’ button, and the ‘link to another website’ icon. They are part of a ‘link system’, which allows web sites to link to each other without having to use the actual link text.
If you don’t know how to use the link system, the problem is that you will hit the icon, but then you can’t click the link. The icon is used to indicate that a link is active (meaning that there is a link and you can click it), but you then don’t know which link the icon is indicating and you can’t click the link.
You can click the icon, but you dont know your link text. After a few seconds, you cant click the icon. The icon is the text you have to click to get the link to your website.
There’s a little more to this that just clicking on the link. You dont have to click anything except the link text. If the link text is not what you wanted, you would simply have to double-click on the link text and then on the icon.
There are plenty of reasons not to click on a link. Some of them are obvious: a link is usually a click-able element, so it’s easier to click it if you know what you’re clicking on. But there are more subtle reasons too. Not clicking on a link can be a bit deceptive, because it may be the link that shows up first in the Google search results.
People often misunderstand the difference between a link and a clickable icon. A link is something that says something more about the page or search results, and a clickable icon is something that makes clicking the link simpler. A good example of this would be the “back” arrow on the lower-right of the page, or the “back” button on your browser.
Another reason is that by clicking on a link, it may show up first in the search results. A good example of this is that I can only choose the browser that my site is hosted on. You see, by default, Google will only show the website’s primary hosting provider’s result in the Google search results. But if I search with my favorite search engine (like Bing), then I can choose the search engine’s default result, which is the website’s own website.
By linking to other websites, it allows Google to show their own results on your own page, without having to click on their link. So while it’s generally better to link to external websites, if you have a page that links to a site and you have a Google search result for it, the search results for your own site will show up first, since the search engine has already seen it.
