The word “auto” usually refers to a vehicle that automatically drives itself, but the concept of self-awareness extends far beyond the car we are driving. It’s all the ways we are aware of ourselves: the choices we make, the thoughts we have, the feelings we feel, and the actions we take.

And of course, the same goes for my feelings and actions.

This is why we get angry and we lash out in anger.
